Was gonna post game stuff but dunno.

The initial startup is overwhelming, but once it gets going it becomes very routine. I'd recommend not watching all the talk show eps at the start like I did though xD

Let the game show you stuff when needed, and watch the full eps as you go when you feel like it since they're kinda long segments.

I'd say overall the experience is pretty linear, focused on scripted storytelling as opposed to gameplay. I do wish there -was- more gameplay + puzzle mechanics had more depth, and that's a dealbreaker for many- but if you are willing to ride the vibes there's a lot of cool stuff here.

Just finished playing Mini Mini Golf Golf, and it was a really interesting experience!

Like it says, it isn't about minigolf. I think it can be best described as a visual novel told via the aesthetic of minigolf. Honestly it reminded me a lot of The Mind's Eclipse in a lot of ways.
A screenshot of the front steam page description of the game MiniMiniGolfGolf. On the retro-style cover image is depicted a red ball falling into the hole of a cybergrid golf lane. The hole resembles a wormhole in space-time.

Bonus isopod and earthworm with an apple for a head.
A pixel isopod from the game Buffet Knight. A pixel earthworm with an apple on its head from the same game. It uses the apple as a bludgeon to attack with. Very aggressive.

Over 20 tries and I finally got it, so hype

Last demo of the night, Super Debt!

A trippy one, I almost always go in more or less blind so it's really fun to let a game make its own impressions. I'm not the most adept at this genre but I managed to make it to the end after a handful of tries!

Frantic but fun once you get the hang of it.

Also finally got to try Blobun, a really neat puzzle game! Definitally made me think- that last demo puzzle had me sweating a hot minute.

Also love the bunny girlfriends.

Played the demo for Buffet Knight and really enjoyed it! It flowed nicely and I genuinely really enjoyed just being able to slurp up items, enemies and the environment.

It's simple but fun, and I am looking forward to upgrading my eating ability to see what else I'll be able to slurp 👀

Tried out Absolum with a friend and it's super cool, very good style and feels satisfying and straightforward to play, even as someone without experience with that kind of genre!

I'll probably try some single-player to see how that feels soon, it's a satisfying game loop.

I am enjoying the game quite a bit but gosh dang does having sophie as my only party member make the game incredibly difficult x'D (that or I just royally suck)

I think 70% of my playtime has been reloading my save, 9 hours to get to day 4. I do hope it gets a bit smoother once I'm far enough in 👀

RAT CHILD they grow up so fast

Continuing play- after getting terrible rng trying to escape Telescope Guy, I've had an actually pretty lucky exploration of floor 1. Preserved rat baby (critical), got the mars disk without encounter, snagged supplies from various rooms, and some light exp grind. Think I can finally save ;o;

Brother got me "Look Outside" as a surprise since it was on my wishlist and I'm glad to see my instinct was on the money- so far it's the kind of body horror stuff I really enjoy.

Just finished apartment 32 and am looking forward to what other motifs are going to come up as I progress forward!

Also forgot if I officially posted here that I'm converting this account to just a chatty account for talking about games I'm playing.

I'll still be posting stuff, just all on my main account going forward!

Finally got all SSS ranks in Beat Heart Beat! 💪

Taking a break for a while really made a difference for the last few hard mode tracks.

I'm not accurate enough to get the all-perfect medals but I'm pretty satisfied with FC's and high ranks. Really excited for the full game down the road 👀
