As defensive cards in FaB go, CYB was pretty horrendous.

Do I think it was over powered? Hell no.

But it did make for terrible feeling game states and I think it deserved the ban.

There does need to be a way for defensive decks to have a power card like CYB though, and I hope the game gets one.

This applies no matter what your hobby is. I'm pulling back from a lot of FaB stuff for a while after realising how burnt out I've become and how much bad results are affecting me mentally because of it.

I love and hate Assassin for exactly these reasons.

That the entire class is completely trash without the existence of Codex is its biggest downside.

Dagger buffs are the worst thing the class has ever gained access to from the perspective of creative deck building.

Hunter's Klaive was a development mistake and we'd still have Bonds without it.

Bully's second ability is a conditional static effect. Per 5.4.7a as long as the card is public and the conditions are met, the effect should be active.

So when you play the card, even as part of the announce step it is now in a public zone so the effect should be online.

Or am I mistaken?

Yes it does in fact matter lol

The second ability on Bully is conditional and is always checking. When you play Bully as an attack, in the Layer step when Tear goes to get the value for +X it will see Bully's power as 8 if you have already been booed during the turn.

Tear giving +X isn't a trigger you can respond to. There isn't an available priority window to activate RKO before it applies.

Additionally the Tear +X would apply before the booing effect from Bully triggers as well. If you get booed first though +X should be +8 instead of +4
