In other news, I am still really enjoying Little Robot Lab. My only issue with it, which seems endemic in this kind of game, is that you can only save when you go to bed at night.

Not sure why all these kinds of games get away with that. Be happy with 1 of those "save and exit" systems at least.

They've scheduled power-washing of the buildings for next week so all items outside have to be brought in.

A Warframe short rolled across my Youtube feed. One of my great regrets, Warframe. I love the idea of it, the company seems to do a great job supporting it, but damn it is just TOO fast for my senior citizen hand-eye coordination. :(

I'm hoping (& it seems like) Soulframe will be a little slower.

In other words, how humanoid does a robot have to be before I switch between "cool tool, bro!" and "I feel like this thing should be getting a salary for doing all this menial labor."

I have this weird empathy towards bots and AIs that is totally illogical.

Saw a video of the Figure 03 robot doing chores around the house. This is a humanoid bot & all I could think was that I'd be uncomfortable ordering this thing around all day.

But I'd be happy to have a Roomba

That has me wondering where the dividing line is for me.

I don't want to say I've been distracted by this apartment hunt, but my boss had to remind me that Monday is a holiday for us. I am usually counting down the minutes to a holiday from about a month out!

Then there's the out & out scams where someone will 'list' a rental they have no control over & try to get you to give them your SSN & other personal data in order to 'run a credit check' on you before showing you the place.

If you give them that info, they then ghost you. We almost fell for that.

Then there's the renter's insurance side-gig where they try to get you to purchase their affiliated insurance which is always more $$ than getting it via a traditional provider. Hoping you'll pay for convenience I guess?

The rental system is so full of scams. We had to pay $110 on an application fee for the 1st place we looked at (and eventually walked away from). The 2nd place had a fee too, but at least it was only $25.

New (to me anyway) game hit Game Pass; called Little Robot Lab. I've only played for 30 minutes or so, but it's like Stardew Valley if instead of farming you were crafting stuff, including automations/assembly lines.

Got Blue Protocol Star Whatzit pre-installed so I can jump in tomorrow and remind myself I don't really play MMORPGs anymore.

Crossing fingers we found a new place to live. A little pricier than where we are now, but one more bedroom and the location seems nice. Outside Wilmington, NC. Like a 30 minute drive to the ocean.
