they fought a lot, of course, with both of them being such volatile people. their relationship was just as twofaced as they both were. but they loved eachother more than anything. despite (or maybe even because of) the screaming matches and lying and fights for dominance they were still soulmates.

that smug, rude little thing with a suprisingly tender heart. the one that showed vulnerability. the one he could always dig out and hold close to his own no matter the situation. the face eri would soften into at the end of the day when it was just the two of them. That was eri.

eri wore a thousand faces even before it became a shapeshifter. her upbringing, alongside its natural proficiency in deception, made them able to slip into any role necessary for the current act. beneath the damsel/rogue/prince/etc was one face reserved for caelum, and caelum only. the real one.

on a daily basis he always masks with that softspoken gentle front, but around eri and in the heat of a fight hes actually unrecognisable. loud. violent. unhinged . and the ease with which he switches between the two personas is to some terrifying, and to some its delectable.

eri is the first person cael could truly be himself around, and seeing him in his full unrestricted glory was an absolute treat. i think beneath the stoicism and repressed emotions he shows to everyone else his personality is actually extremely explosive and volatile.
