There’s a really interesting care for tension & framing of scenes so your brain is constantly scanning for danger.

The unfortunate part is every step forward in the plot seems to unravel more of its facade of tension, ending in a third act that is just like… okay?

This is nowhere near as bad as everyone’s making it out to be, BUT, I do think it comes 5 years too late to anything new to the conversation.

Its main focus is less on the situation and more on the dynamic between Roberts and Edibiri and that is CAPTIVATING.

Why is everyone glazing this bootycheeks movie.

The grainy quality sections are dope and the main boy is good but beyond that…??

Unnecessary sequel, dumb plot, bad dialogue that forces a gen-z kid to say 80’s slang that feels so forced, and shit green screen.

Movie #131: The Mastermind

This didn’t work for me at all.

I found the intentional drollness of this film rather annoying.

The sardonic nature of calling it ‘The Mastermind’ and then presenting nothing close to that felt like someone telling a mediocre joke and waiting for you to laugh.

Movie #130:

So many could take a page from the Kirsten Dunst school of choosing the best roles.

Tatum is beyond charming and perhaps the most grounded he’s been in his career.

The middle is dope but I do think the beginning and end don’t quite know what to do and end up just utilizing voice over.
