Oh I see, because that's what employees REALLY LOVE to do: Sabotage their employer.🤔 Because, if the company collapses, the millionaire CEO will STILL BE a millionaire. But all of those retrenched employees will be facing destitution. Far out, I doubt this guy would even let his employees eat cake!🙄

1/4) YET, in our modern, nuance-free online discourse, there's this weird perception that HMP disagreeing on or questioning some of Andrews's finer details is equivalent to invalidating his entire thesis. That's just not how it works. It's not Jenga.

2/4) HMP is engaging in common practice in intellectual pursuits. Critical analysis & disagreement is key to finding truth. Chipping away at inaccuracies and the extraneous to find necessary clarity. HMP is saying that Andrew is right, so it's necessary to hash out all those little details.

3/4) Andrew's thesis isn't invalidated b/c he came out swinging. Finding truth is collaborative. The correct response ISN'T to cherry pick inaccuracies to disregard the whole, i.e. "Only come to me when your ideas are perfect!", because they will NEVER be "perfect". To demand otherwise is a cop out.

4/4) The correct response is constructive dialogue: ask questions, seek clarification, share ideas and perspectives. Chip away. Find mutual understanding and truth. Try to make the world a better place, even if just in a tiny corner.

1/4 Also, the idea that Lee is a grand hypocrite because a band on a label he co-owns has a member with a very racist background is stupid AF. Firstly, a classic example of a Tu Quoque fallacy, aka the Fisher-Price brand, "My first Rebuttal" technique of argumentation.

2/4 That means it's irrelevant to the point Lee was making, and in fact it helps to prove it, as does the knee-jerk reaction itself. But these kinds of apologists and part-time, amateur talking heads are adept at deftly demonstrating the thing they are denying ever doing WHILE they deny it.
