We return more determined than ever to end the cruel U.S. blockade and stand with the Cuban people as they fight to build a brighter future for their country on their own terms.

Special thanks to our partners at ICAP and Amistur for helping make this delegation possible.
The resilience of the Cuban people inspires us, but we also saw firsthand the hardships they face. From blackouts to shortages of basic goods, the U.S. blockade grips daily life, and things are worsening as sanctions tighten and Trump beats the drums of war in the region.
We visited Cuba’s Latin American School of Medicine, which has trained thousands of doctors, including over 100 from Palestine. We also met with CENESEX to learn about Cuba’s fight against homophobia and transphobia, and with Deputy Minister Carlos de Cossio at @cubaminrex.bsky.social.
Our delegation met Cuban workers, doctors, teachers and artists who keep the country running despite the growing hardships imposed by the U.S. blockade.
When we say solidarity, we mean it.

Trump’s re-imposition of #Cuba onto the SSOT list is a cruel and cynical act that prioritizes political theater over human lives. We condemn this injustice and remain committed to fighting until these harmful policies are ended once and for all.
Cuba solidarity is getting stronger by the day and we will not let Trump & Rubio walk us back - join us for the fight ahead: dsaic.org/forcuba
Without the cruel and unjust restraints of the SSOT designation, our Cuban comrades will be able to import much-needed fuel and supplies, access lines of credit to invest in fixing their aging infrastructure, and begin to implement their ambitious Tarea Vida climate goals.
This is the result of the tireless work of organizers in DSA and the Cuba solidarity movement. Together, we sent 2,600 letters, visited our reps, and gathered over 50 signatures from politicians and unions urging Biden to lift the SSOT. When we fight we win!
A victory for the Cuban people and the Cuba solidarity movement! The Biden admin has taken the long overdue step of removing #Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terror list.
Sign a letter to Biden demanding he take action on #Cuba: dsaic.org/sendandend
When we have engaged positively and respectfully with #Cuba, we have seen nothing but success. Instead, Trump and Biden have chosen to revive and continue an outdated and cruel cold war hostility that is devastating the Cuban people first and foremost. foreignpolicy.com/2024/12/12/c...
Why Are Cuba and the U.S. Still Mired in the Cold War?
How a historic reconciliation deal unraveled.

I'm in good company of elected officials & labor leaders calling on President Biden to remove Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list. Cuba isn't bombing several countries or committing a genocide. The people of Cuba don't deserve the economic suffering imposed by the U.S's Cold War politics.
