[Pitch] Stat types for Swift System - Pitches - Swift Forums
Hi all! We'd love feedback on this pitch to introduce a Stat type to the System library. This includes Swift-native APIs for the stat(), lstat(), fstat(), and fstatat() system calls, as well as supporting types for C stat properties and flags. In keeping with the System philosophy, these types would only be available on Unix-like platforms, but future directions could include Windows-specific file metadata APIs. Not sure no one ever talks about this or it's just buried under the mountains of slop. The concept of Claude Code comes from mastery (or dare I say, love) of the elemental command line tools.

I rewrote a project that has a well-defined unit-test collection. Lots of the tests were failing after the rewrite. Currently asking Claude code to fix them one by one. 3 tests fixed cost me $3 so far.
