All good games with back and forth and some good plays. Rejuvenating after my last visit. Got some trades done too, so Feather might get more new cards and Rosheen got some new goodies, plus a smattering of random other stuff.

Now the wait begins again. 🫡
Not gaining any draw still, I top decked a B-Act against RG Omnath and tokens with a Hushbtinger in hand, wiping the board again to by time and stop the death triggers from the elementals.

Finally, Breena showed up, but turns too late. A valiant final attack but I couldn't close the game.
Cloud did cloud things, and I took 14 commander to the face pretty quick after I did my damage. Raging Kaiju and Reconnaissance worked well to keep pressure on and my guys alive, but I wasn't getting any draw.

Used Winds of Abandon to clear the board and get more damage in, and my opponents reset.
Last game was a three pod with Isshin, Windgrace walker and Cloud RGW. As such I won't record it on my record.

Started with a Generous Plunderer in hand for fixing my mama and curved out nicely. Dealt a lot of damage with him against the cloud player and double attack triggers, doing 12 quick.
A Roil Elemental* off a lot of Rhystic Study triggers (look I have to cast stuff) and stole enough of my blockers to knock me out. It was them or me and I didn't have enough bodies afterward.

Still, thrilled with how Feather plays now. Keeps up and can threaten more damage and trades in combat.
I utilized Feather for Commander damage this game against the Zimone deck as I am familiar with it and it needed to go. Bruse didn't get much going and Galadriel did threaten damage but it was easily chumped by my growing army of elementals. Zimone dropped a Tool elemental off a lot of ...
Feather did well. I'm happy with the changes I made a few weeks ago. Elspeth Stormslayer made her first appearance, giving Young Pyromancer and three spells a turn some real oomph. Impact Tremors got countered unfortunately, so combat was the plan. Sudden Breakthrough also helped until I got land.
I really thought I could win it too. Had a Sheoldred the Apocalypse in hand and we were drawing 13 cards a turn minimum. Oh well 😁

Third game was Feather with a new player (at least to me). New person was playing Bruse 2 against Zimone Duskmourn and Galadriel GWU.
When the Kwain player did so I asked why the other two players were going to lose and he said it was from my Ascension. I told him I decline the triggers but the other two players had already shuffled up. We decide the game was no contest whatever that means but I'll log it as my first draw.
After the first game I wanted to try my own YShtola deck out. Some minor changes, but the biggest was getting to test Bloodchiefs Ascension. The game was against Norman, Kwain and Caesar. The game got complicated after a Perplexing Chimera came out and after an activation of a Folio of Fancies.
LGS day! Four games featuring Rosheen, YShtola, Feather and Isshin. Luckily most were four pods.

Rosheen was first against Norman, Electro and YShtola. Deck did the big mana stuff mostly by untapping Rosheen with Saryth for some extra untapping. Won with Shivan Devastator and extra haste hydras.
Also, still very much a red mage.
Back before I knew playmates for Magic were a thing, I colored up a play area on poster board. Years later I got my first playmat, but eventually wanted another one. None spoke to me at the time, nor did they have zones. So, I made one instead and still have it 14 years later. 😁
My bad, Poe is the name.
My wife got herself two new guinea pigs. Po (left) was named pretty early on, but I think we've decided on the other's final name. Prospero (left) Roundalf (because he is a veryround fellow)
Shh. I'm still catching up looking for gems. Don't let the "hate" for the set stop until I get the deals on cardboard.

Also pain for all gets me so many side-eyes at a table. I love it.
I think it would count on intent and deployment, along with whatever we imagine it looking like. To me they could cast the same spell (hybrid) but the lens or thought through which they do it would "color" it their own.

Azorius detain would look different than a dimir detain for the same result.

My wife says we should start a pod cast where we argue about Magic, brought on by the hybrid mana discourse.

I'm ... Intrigued.

Hey. Just wanted to remind y'all that this is coming. Look. Look! I convinced Wizards of the Coast to let me write a print MAGIC THE GATHERING novel!
I feel like the argument isn't a 1 for 1, timing (year made) comes into play, and some of those are fine imo. Why isn't Blasphemous Act red? Guardian Project is just what Green is now and has been for a decade or more.
This hybrid mana situation has me roused against certain viewpoints and I'm trying my best to control myself.

For the record though, I'm against the possible change and I will take a sword on this hill because I think it's just an at minimum inelegant solution to a nonproblem.
The outcome does matter as an experience over just winning. The journey is a greatly valued part of that experience which is reinforced by the rules that exist for it, open or restrictive as they are.

Fun comes at a cost very often not paid only by the first party.
For me it comes down to color identity and the rules. They're always colored, whether single or multi, in the rules. That's that. Whether I can pay an "alternate way" doesn't make a card white in the stack or in play.
I think changing it complicates a number of things while solving nothing. In the vast majority of cases I can think of, another card can do whatever these hybrid cards can, often better or cheaper. If it does change there would have be caveats for a number of them like Torrent if Souls.
