I’m not a NIN fan and I don’t particularly like industrial techno to begin with so I’m not the right person to ask about the soundtrack’s quality on its own. In terms of it’s in the movie I found it really mishandled and irritating, it’s just constantly going with little to no quiet time.

Jared Leto is basically an AI chatbot both in terms of how he functions and also his acting. He talks about everything like chatgpt reciting information in the most neutral emotionless cadence.

I heard a headline saying they removed some actual AI generated effects from the movie for fear of receiving backlash but like the movie is still very much about gen AI and how it’s actually a useful tool as long as the good ethical corporation does it and not the evil bad corporation.

Everything was bad. The script was terrible, the pacing and cinematography were so frantic, it had weird pro-generative AI vibes despite also trying to passively condemn it, the NIN was mid as hell and distractingly utilized. I hate being vindicated for pegging this as a bomb.

It varies from mind to mind. Although at some point it’ll end up like trying to mix together a bunch of different colors and ending up with brown no matter what you use. That is to say underneath all the layers of different hypno is a subject in drooling mental deadlock.

Sometimes I get asked “if you put a pair of mind controlling glasses over a mind-controlling mask like yours then would it override the mask’s control?”

I always respond by shoving a mask on them before they can think to test that theory.
