Very much enjoyed visiting Tom Schwartz at U Maine last week to talk about our work in dilute-limit alloy catalysis. Also a true pleasure to see their biofuel pilot plant at the Forest Bioproducts Research Institute!

Had a great time visiting Ted Walker and Jesse Bond at Syracuse this week, talking about my group's efforts to understand the role of ensembles in catalysis by dilute-limit alloys. Also very excited by the unpublished work being done at Syracuse; looking forward to it coming out!

It was a true honor to have Dr. Linda Broadbelt give this year's Gregory M. Botsaris Lecture at Tufts ChBE! It was an inspiring look at how reaction pathway analysis can be used to understand and guide plastic pyrolysis as well as to guide the discovery and synthesis of bioderived plastics

I am so impressed by how talented and clever our Massachusetts high school scientists are! Serving as a poster judge at this year's Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair for Region IV on Friday was an inspirational joy.

Our latest research on catalytic oxidation over dilute-limit PdAu alloys is now available in J Catal! Here we show that Pd promotes ethanol esterification more so than simple oxidation, even when Pd is isolated. Great fun with some great collaborators! authors.elsevier.com/a/1kOvQ4-S8n...

Thank you to the Great Plains Catalysis Society for the opportunity to discuss catalysis by dilute-limit alloys! Here I focused on the importance of ensemble size, discussing what the field knows, how we know it, and where we go from here. www.greatplainscatalysis.org @jptessonnier.bsky.social

Happy to be back in MA after a great week at #AIChEAnnual which saw my lab's first student Ho-Yi (Kenny) Lam give his first (fantastic) conference talk. Gotta say I'm a bit done with being confused for a student in my lab rather than the PI for a while...
