So, the world is. Not great these days. So, to maybe help everyone get away from it for a bit, I would like to share a list of fairly obscure JRPGs that tend to go under the radar in discussions of the genre, because that is a topic in which I am something of an expert. 1/?
I discovered Smiling Friends via hotel TV so yeah pretty much anything on Adult Swim counts.
Like, shifting attribute points from species to background in 5.5 actually makes characters *more* narratively restricted. Like, if you want Elves and Dwarves to be mechanically indistinguishable, fine, but then just get rid of the ability score adjustments entirely and just up the point buy a bit.
Idiots like this poison the well so it's harder to discuss things like all the hollow cross-branding Hasbro is constantly doing (though it's even more egregious in MtG), or even just critique the mechanics of new editions.
And then keep going until the screaming stops.
So, uh... we gettin' a *new* TGO episode at some point, or...?😋
So Grant Morrison just thinks *real life* is a Grant Morrison comic, huh? Because his description is what generative AI would be like if Grant Morrison had written a comic about it. Not even close to being reality, of course, but definitely in keeping with his personal narrative style.
CLAMP's gotten a lot more experience over the years, plus animation technology has advanced. At the bare minimum, there's the wider aspect ratio, but also post-Code Geass, the Rune Knight fights could look a lot more dynamic (I just checked out a fight scene from the OG and, it's a little stiff).
Can we push Republicans to retire *and* elder abuse them? As a treat? Please?
Ooh, ever since Super Robot Wars T, I've been curious, but I imagined the original might be a touch dated at this point, so a new version could be just the thing (and right on the heels of a new Samurai Troopers, too). Might also give Banpresto cause to get Rayearth into even more SRWs.
He went way more than fifty. Also a chilling reminder that I still know the correct way to pronounce Mxyzptlk, forwards *and* backwards.
If you're gonna watch just one high-handed artsy anime, watch To Your Eternity instead. Seriously, it's possibly the best anime ever made. Incredible, sweeping story and moving characters and seriously just watch the first episode and I think you'll be hooked.
And the older the Dem, the more likely they were to just wanna hang the bastards.
Are we *just now* learning that "normie" Dems are fully in favor of executing the evil fucks ruining the country? Because I've been hearing talk like that at varying levels of seriousness since Dubya was in office.
I've been saying for years, Hamas wants the Palestinian people dead just as much as Netanyahu, but for opposite reasons. You got one side looking to commit genocide, and the other side trying to "martyr" you to justify terrorism, what the fuck are Palestinian civilians supposed to do?
I hear she doesn't respect wood. Left a ring stain right on Julia Louis-Dreyfus' table. Disgraceful!
Well, yeah, anti-trust laws, stronger unions, etc. You can blame the billionaires for ruining that shit by funding the Chicago School, among other measures to undermine said guardrails.
They sell more papers when people are worried if we're all going to die. Republicans make us all miserable, and our misery enriches news execs.
They're not wrong. The *ideal* of capitalism, as espoused by dead white philosophers, was about making money, but then *spending* it. Keep it flowing, and nobody's poor. But then the richest assholes started hoarding it, like beavers damming a river. So now it's all fucked.
You're forgetting the financial incentive. People watch news channels more when they're scared and/or angry, so having the GOP in charge is literally good for business, because they always wreck the country, which increases their ratings.
So, as an Italian-American, lemme say, *fuck* Columbus Day, we don't need ya fuckin' handouts, you racist, WASPy fucks. Fuck off back to Connecticut.
Columbus was only promoted to "historical hero" because white supremacists needed to push an Italian historical figure in order to induct Italian-Americans into The Whiteness Club to oppose newly-enfranchised black voters.
I dunno, they didn't include Cocoron.
Ba-da-ba-ba-ba, I'm lovin' it.
Yeah, that sounds like Everett, all right.
