Waiting for someone at the corner of Westfield Rd and Gorgie Rd at 10am this morning and counted the number of food delivery riders going by. Ten in the space of 8 mins.

Tip. After the Calder roundabout stay on the path alongside A71 until the pedestrian crossing. Cross there and then take first right into the HWU estate followed by an immediate left onto a road blocked to vehicles. Takes you down to main entrance. Always good to avoid the big roundabout.

The cycle racks at the Oriam building at HWU usually have space available.

I frequently cycle from Heriot Watt to Gorgie, Edinburgh Park and the Gyle. Never had a problem crossing the Bypass on the canal path, the Calder roundabout using the footpath or the subway under the bypass between Gogar Station Rd and Lochside Ave. Lighting would be nice but not a deal breaker yet.

This two-parter below is exactly why it's hard to make clothes in the United States.

Let's look at how much it costs to produce a button-up shirt in the US. 🧵
Someone on Twitter replies to me: "meh. buy american or stfu."

Two hours later, in a separate thread, the write: "$30 for a single button-up is ridiculous unless it is decent quality silk."

The trailer image for Blue Lights reminded me of something. Eventually figured it is the Band on the Run album cover. A play on Cops and robbers I reckon. If anyone has a better idea please let me know.

I was very lucky to spot a white squirrel this morning. Haven’t seen one before. Even luckier to get a couple of snaps. #Edinburgh

In the last few weeks I’ve started watching several dramas on the various streaming services. Three of them I’ve got half way through and decided not waste any more time on. The exception is Blue Lights on BBC. A great watch.

The authoritarian takeover of America is in full swing.

But they have no idea what they are getting themselves in for.

Watch America crumble when the states like California and New York no longer provide money for the United States.

I’m serious.

This will not go well.

Beer was ok. Finding a decent spot nearby to chain the bike up not so good

The one on the left last year wrote a piece in The Spectator calling for the legalisation of incest.

My latest work The Conan Doyle pub in Edinburgh. Thought a drawing of a pub would be in order to go with some of the pub signs I have done.

If they can do better than McGills in Slateford Road they must be sensational. As they probably charge double the price they’d have to unbelievably sensational. Not going to happen.

Sad but true. Saw this lot up today and it’s still early October.

Under Key Features they describe it as being in Lagrs (Largs) and a Costal (Coastal) home. For the money the agents charge they could employ a proof reader.
