Brazilian women, tired of street harassment, started throwing pink glitter at the men. It sticks to everything and keeps emerging for weeks. The wives, mothers, and daughters all see it and know exactly what they've done.

Easiest alternative is a general strike. Needs 3% of the population to have an impact. It's scattered and non-violent, so there's no one to kettle and arrest. Neighbors helping neighbors would get through it.

How many are organizing out of sight, helping put people in touch with actions and with other people? And how many are engaging in performative nonsense that saps the will to act? BlueSky, for all its joys, is rapidly becoming a place for performative anger leading to apathy for real action.
