The Nobel Peace Prize just went to Venezuelan peace activist María Corina Machado. And you know what she did?

She dedicated it to President Trump.

Yes I did actually - I only counted free people from all states to get that percentage.

The point I was trying to make was that there were many more white people that opposed slavery than those that benefited from it. And even if we go with your data, my point still stands.

That percentage is calculated using numbers from confederate states only. There were about 380k slaveholders and 2-2.5 million union soldiers, 200,000+ abolitionists, and many many more civilians who opposed it in general, especially by the end of the war.

I hope no one takes my word (or yours) for it. I hope they look into it for themselves, see both sides, and then form an opinion.

I linked 1 video I found to be interesting, but there are many more! Too many people watch a 30-second clip and think it accurately reflects the entire situation.

You should be questioning why very few democratic leaders are acknowledging it or giving Trump even a little credit.

It’s a perfect opportunity to bring a bit of unity to our country, but they refuse. I wonder why?

I see your bio says you’re deconstructing from religion. I’m genuinely so sorry that a person or group hurt you. That is not God’s way.

I fully understand how religious hurt can be hard to deal with. I’ll pray that you come to know who God truly is, and understand the immense love He has for you.
