I didn’t. I can foresee a lovely chemically enhanced evening with this
A good colorist is right up there with a good therapist
I read that part. You don’t address the issue.
No, you don’t, unless I’m missing the part where you note that your numbers include growing cotton and how the cotton has durable use for decades.
Did I miss that in there?

I'm at risk for redundancy so if anyone is hiring a Senior or Lead UX Researcher remote or in London hybrid let me know! Open to perm or contracts
Leaving out that 90% of the water in the jeans and t shirt figures are taken up by growing cotton, which is used for far more things and by far more people than AI, is obtusely disingenuous.

It also leaves out that once cotton is woven, it can be used and repurposed for decades.
Every day I find a new way of trying to get across just how ridiculously fake the problem of AI water use is
Because I don’t have an early morning flight!

It’s not just that the world is on fire, it’s that tech has and continues to pour gas on the fire. Discussions of tech without that context really feel the musicians on the titanic, and I think that a lot of folks on here are more attuned to that reality than on Twitter. And that’s a good thing

I feel like it's generational, too. TRON was a first tangible look at the future of the computer industry, especially with regard to how giant corporations will view their users.
Combine that with a visual design that had never been seen before and absolutely influenced a lot of design since.
I also have a long weekend and intend to get into some fun :)

I love a good candle myself, and my favorite ones are wooden wick. The little crackles they make are the best white noise
That sounds like a great weekend! I can’t wait to see your photos!
It's friday, the sun is shining and it's not too hot, it's my last day at this job, I had my last meeting, and now I'm just listening to the Beach Boys and other surf rock and watching my cats be silly.

Hope everyone out there is having a good one :)
"Safely disregard the poor" is a about as threatening a tone as I've seen from a pope in a hot minute. It would interesting to see if he follows up on this discourse with denying communion to JD Vance specifically, but all other MAGA types as a whole.
Pope Leo in first major document: Love for the poor is not optional for Christians
“I often wonder, even though the teaching of Sacred Scripture is so clear about the poor, why many people continue to think that they can safely disregard the poor,” Pope Leo XIV states in his first m...
