I found my Silksong roadblock for the moment, the TRUE FINAL BOSS
Regardless I wanna say that, god these complaints about the game's difficulty were so overblown, it made the game feel like an hellscape ready to kill you every second when it really wasn't
(I did start post patch tho)

Other than that, the game was extremely fun, complete, tight, and full of twists and "the game's not over!" moments
Probably game of the year for me

And once I'm out of shard packets, I'm not going to go back and farm them, especially with some benches being in places where it's super hard to, the closest enemy to the true final boss is a good 3 minutes far and it will give like 4 shards
electrodev.bsky.social
so after one death costs me 1/8th of my shards (the max amount is 800 which is really not enough), I just won't use tools again, only on impulse if I see I got far enough in a fight but if I die, that's even worse
electrodev.bsky.social
The one complaint I have seem to be brushed off everywhere, as in the tool system combined with the game's difficulty makes zero sense
you'll eat through your shards if you try to use tools at every boss attempt, unless you start using other tools but those will deplete soon as well

A lot of criticism comes from people wanting progress in each of their 30 minutes play sessions, but this is a 50+ hour game, every boss will take you a while when they're the highlight
And taking breaks helped a lot, no matter how much people joke about, try doing that
electrodev.bsky.social
There's 2, TWO instances of paying for benches and having them retract after use, and they cost 10 rosaries compared to the 60/80 of the normal benches, and in ONE area where the context is you're in a place of underpaid overworked slaves, why would they have luxuries??

The 45 degree angle pogo was treated like the hardest move in gaming when... the game is designed around that move? Sure sometimes if you use a stick the deadzone may mess things up, but you have plenty of time before you have to really use it and multiple crests that restore the HK pogo

That one time I modelled a Splatoon weapon concept

When a game lets you skip cinematics but not in-game cutscenes, what gives?

Forgot I made this when challenges' time limit were first announced

more for the boss, hubworld and level 2
Sector A's boss fight, WSP is crawling on top of the only pillar remaining Room where the first boss starts, the computer ASEI has awakened Patchy and Tulip talking with Daisy next to his little hideout in the hubworld Area near the start of level 2 where Patchy uses a big button to activate a generator

While sector A is prob the most samey looking part of Spring Escape, I think I still did a good job at giving each level some distinct locations
Area of level 3 showing a landscape with a huge chunk of slime at the top, light piercing through Corridor found at the end of level 4, a giant diamond shaped crystal contains the vase needed to finish the level. Red light and particles cover the area Area at the beginning of level 4, with a set of broken pillars and a derailed train, fog covers the bottom. The area found at the beginning of the game, with Patchy and Tulip looking at what remains of the room. Twisted shelves and broken vases cover the ground.
