I think my writing and how I convey it is still pretty lacking even if I feel like I'm getting better at it. So I want to focus the rest of the year on storyboarding and writing.

I want to experiment and make a short original comics 10 pages maybe 5? I'm not sure yet, but I do want to challenge myself by limiting the page count, maybe spooky themed, but no way in hell am I gonna finish it by Halloween.

Basically I'm trying to decide what to focus on, and what l care about most, and at this point I think I might just do me, which is probably terrible idea.
I'll probably never make it anywhere with my art, but like at least I want to try to make stuff that I feel like it was worth making for myself.

It's like everything tells you if you want to make money with art you need to not cater to yourself (which is kinda my main motivator) so it's a little disappointing. Some people make it work but usually it's very talented people, I'm not at that level yet as an illustrator or as a writer.

I've also been trying selling merch at conventions and that IS fun, but then when you consider how much work goes into making it financially worth it, making so much art that I think will sell instead of something I find more fulfilling kinda also drives me away from it.
