The people that surround you in the early days of your startup define the odds of your failure or success.

If a path to someone’s heart is through their stomach, the path to the heart of an organisation is through its CMO 🤌.

🚧 Roadworks update. It’s going hella great. Turns out creating a 10 lane highway of your own making is a lot more fun that doing hard labour for someone else to collect the toll payments.
I’ve been told so many times to stay in my lane, 99.9% of the time - by men.

So I’m building my own damn road.

I don’t like traffic. 🚀
That’s what a suit in that room said. 💯
- Good design is invisible.
- Say no more, fam.

Early stage startup founders sitting on their MVP tech stack like
The best type of people to know: WYSIWYG people. 👏
What I gathered from the street videos of Spanish blackout:
What we are prepared to forget for sake of pragmatic efficient utility can carry more positive emotional utility instead.
Time is your most precious commodity.
It’s cruelty to the epidermis is what it is 😂
Scott, the Brits would defeat TempColor with this invention.

Yes, one is Siberian winter, the other is depths of hell fire. Choose your morning face washing fate.
I hear you, but without the short term there is no possibility of long term. Dark patterns aside, there are better ways that don’t result in design loosing face in the boardroom.
Why would/should they battle the thing that feeds them?
Replace “upsetting” with appropriate substitute.
To answer your question as to who calls it that:
Developers do. And then they argue with design team who calls it out for about 8 hours, then PM walks in and sides with developers because upsetting them off is more costly than upsetting designers. Because they “paint” things.
Something I can’t reconcile.
UX’ers posting about problems not solved and offering no path to any solution.

I love complaining, but this seems rather counterintuitive.
I secretly love seeing fellow design leaders from known tech brands drop by profile on LinkedIn from comments and swiftly depart: “ah poo, she’s not ex-Google, how disappointing”
To everyone in the world of Product Design and UX:

If you think that user needs come first - they don’t.

Revenue does.
Just thoroughly invigorating. 11 out of 10.
Has anyone ever saved a ton of money by purchasing software?
Not just a bit, but a lot.
What software was it?

Obviously, asking for a friend.

Design should not be iterative.
It should be adaptive.
