I'm one of those immigrants in the UK. Let me tell you about the nice little cul de sac where I live. My neighbors are from all over (Korea, Eastern Europe, Africa, India). In fact, I think most of the residents here are immigrants. They are very nice and law abiding.

We should deport Reform.

Brilliant piece debunking the nonsense claim in the Daily Telegraph. But it’s dangerous nonsense, polarising attitudes & whipping up prejudice.

The DTelegraph is such a shit newspaper. Oh, and the photo? Staged - captive eagle, already-dead lamb.

Farage isn’t a politician; he’s a peddler of prejudice. His racism isn’t subtle, it’s the main act dressed as “straight talking.” A fascist tribute act leading a racist sewer called Reform UK, bigots posing as patriots, fuelled by xenophobia, arrogance, and hate.

Overshooting 1.5°C wasn't 'inevitable.'

We've been pushed by fossil fuel giants & governments that pander to them.

Every delay, every oil field, every broken promise made this crisis worse.

Keir Starmer, will you promise to leave Rosebank undeveloped?

Our assets,
Our wealth.
It’s time to take it back.
“Privatisation was the experiment — and it’s failed. We have water companies pumping sewage into our rivers and charging us extra for the privilege.”

Zack Polanski says it’s time to bring water back into public hands on #BBCPoliticsNorth.

It's easy to look at public statements purely through a prism of free speech. But words have consequences. Being *legally permitted* to say awful things, doesn't mean we must all go around saying them. The bare minimum should not be the most we can expect. ~AA

After the 220th anniversary of Trafalgar, I'm thinking of the little girl taken to see HMS Victory & bought a book on Nelson.

27ish years later I've lectured internationally, including Antarctica & the Falkland Islands. I've delivered talks for the Royal Navy & taught at the US Naval Academy 🧵
As someone going through the same internal processes with my employer I support this decision.
Remote work is a game changer for people with disabilities

It can allow us to remain in the workforce longer, help us manage doctors appointments, flare ups and medication and create a better work/life balance.

I hope this landmark case is the first of many:

Mad moments in British politics- Badenoch: Argentina president Milei would be a ‘template’ for my government. A few months after she said that, thanks to Milei, Argentina is now on the brink of its worst crisis of insolvency and hyperinflation, with the peso practically worthless against the dollar.
