I’m in standing room at @torontobluejays.bsky.social , behind accessible seating, where a kid/teen in a wheelchair is distraught because he can’t see anything with everyone standing up. If anyone happens to be in a box or something with extra seats, this is your chance to do a good deed.
I once substitute taught all day wearing two different black shoes.
Me, too. Also, I love that Alessia Cara sang it. Canada is so great at supporting our artists.
Thank you for posting that. It's very encouraging news.
I was just trying to say that Canada loves its paperwork. It is more difficult to even buy property as a non-resident. In our case, they didn't distinguish that we were in the process of immigrating. There are lots of rules, so do your homework. And yes, Trump is a threat to the world order.
Thanks! We've been here for over 20 years now. I've been grateful every day that we saw where things were headed in the US. The process has changed twice since we moved, and I'm hearing that, except Health Care Workers, the processing time is even longer than 3 years.
Yes, it took us over 3 years to get our immigration sorted out (even w/ a lawyer), to get a mortgage, and to actually move. We commuted to our US jobs for years before our credentials were recognized in Canada. Still, I have never regretted the decision to become a Canadian.

We have to guard against the tendency to idealize candidates.
Yes, they are even still blooming beautifully. I'll wait to dump out the pots until after the hard frost kills them.
β€œUrinary tract infections have long been considered a personal health issue, but our findings suggest that they are also a food safety problem,” said Lance B. Price, senior author of the peer-reviewed study and professor of environmental and occupational health at the George Washington University.
There is a young tech near here that helped us to choose the right antennas for our area. We're close enough to Ottawa to get their signal. He did the installation. It's well worth it for us, since other options are really expensive here.
I moved most of my plants indoors tonight. I still have a few large pots outside that used to hold a mix of flowers and Ipomoea batatas vines. The calibrachoa are the only plants that are still alive in those pots.
No, the past. We're in a rural area, so we paid up front to put a digital antenna up on our wifi tower. It was pricey, but saves us from subscribing to cable or satellite every month. We're in eastern ON, but can pick up some Ottawa and TO stations, as well as CBS, Fox, ABC, and PBS from the US.
I’m watching the World Series via antenna. I must say, the Blue Jays fans are loud and enthusiastic. #Let’sGoBlueJays

A terrific AFP fact check uses reverse image searches to expose how a White House video took scenes from Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Nebraska and lied that they showed "Chicago is in chaos."

PS It's the Ontario Premier who backed down, not "Canada." A Premier is like a governor.
This was my pinned post on Twitter for years.
