The first World Series I really remember was 1975 Reds-Red Sox. Half a century later, it’s possible the team I’ve seen more than any other is nine innings away. This was not on my 2025 bingo card.

My mom’s side of the family is Czech. The food in Katowice (the only place in Poland I’ve been) reminded me so much of what my youth tasted like when extended family would get together. 2/0

My family had a float for five or six years in the 70s. The parade and the big BBQ gathering after it at my grandparents farm near Mt. Angel are some of my favorite childhood memories. 2/

Tara and I are meeting up with a niece and nephew downtown for #nokings. Bergs have been doing #nokings events for almost 50 years. Me as George Washington July, 4, 1976 in the Mollala Buckeroo Parade. Grammy (sitting) is Betsy Ross. The other kids are cousins. Sisters are out of the shot. 1/

My favorite English word - as in England - is "Cockfosters" because I imagine how a Stephen Fry character would say it in "Blackadder." I've been on this l line maybe 60 times in or six so visits to London. I still laugh out loud and say "Cockfosters, Blackadder! Cockfosters!" to myself every time.
