Maybe check with the dancer if they want their partner as their target. It's not cute and I totally expect it every time and secretly hope you don't pick her. I love her to death, which is why I don't pull her up there. -

Dance clubs, don't push someone to get on stage when they clearly don't want to. Don't pick a dancer's partner to come on stage unless the dancer specifically requests it. And if I say no, don't keep pushing until I have to do the X with my arms. Because now you've made me mad uncomfy that I had to-

Because from the other POV having to stand on stage and watch as your partner has to physically "X" their arms towards you doesn't feel good... And it's not like I can stand there and protest, I'm there to put on a show, so I just have to roll with it.
