The fact nothing came out of those meetings is a somewhat optimistic sign of anything

Yeah sure...but at this point while still important, the importance of judges isn't as much as it once was since the GOP now controls the supreme Court unfortunately. Manchin probably knew being a team player there was an eady way to stay Dem without changing much

Yes and no. It would be nice to not have a Republican in power. But another manchin would just block further progress and guarantee and even more RW Republican to replace them.

Despite the fact WV did have a blue seat virtually no progress came with manchin as a critical vote

I actually differ here and think we should have a 0 tolerance on manchin style Dems because it just allows room for more rotating villains to impede any progress that the party continues to reward

The Platner story isn't great and people have a right to not support him. I also think the majority of people pushing this story dotm actually care and have openly supported white supremacy and genocide for the last 2 years so I'ma wait and see if anything else turns up

Tea party was massively successful in getting a bunch of people activated into supporting an Astro turfed far right movement by the GOP and to put pressure on both the party and Democrats.
