Inktober day 9
Last night I couldn’t sleep. When I finally did fall asleep I saw a centipede wizard

All of those artists are really good at drawing with clarity and using different hatching techniques for showing form, mood and material.

Messiness is probably because of lack of confidence, when you hesitate or don’t know where the line should go and why.

Other than practising structure & anatomy you can study how to use lines/hatching to imply material or shape
I really like Tove Jansson, Moebius and lately Kamome Shirahama

As a King I have some complaints
This place has all the violations

I’ve never held my focus as intensely while playing a platforming game like this

I’ve made it to the white palace.
This place is SO MEAN

Hollow Knight! It felt very much like “there’s more to the story” type of ending, with all the loose ends and mysteries/items I have but I wanted to see
And I haven’t found the Grimm troupe yet

I made it to the first ending!! Time to fight dream bosses and sop up some more essence

Having unlocked steel soul mode and completion percentage, sincere question:
What kind of sicko (complimentary) completes this game in steel soul mode omg

Have you tried gpen nibs for dip pen like Nikko or Zebra? I think the line thickness is pretty even with those

I dislike many inks because for some reason the smell gives me headache, but acrylic ink is perfect (and waterproof)

Keep posting The Mushrooms! I’m respectfully jealous haha

This whole section really.
Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

I also decided to just explore and get stronger before going to them, hence Lurien is the last dreamer for me. Now I have pure nail so I hope they’re less trouble hehe

Mantis lords and Hornet are maybe the most fun! Both are difficult but have fun rhythm to it. As characters and story they’re rewarding to fight too. I was so delighted after mantises.

Most difficult bosses so far (I think I’m close to the end?)
Hornet, Soul Master, Broken Vessel
Over ten attempts each.

Not too bad in itself but the backtrack is awful and possibly eats all health to just get there: Traitor Lord, which I beat yesterday

Watcher knights remain. I don’t like it

I’ve found out during my playthrough my charm setup is assuming I need help, to heal and I get punched a lot

So I use thorns of agony, spore shroom, longnail, grubsong and weaversong the most

I love the tower-like building on second page and how you inked the trees in front of it, so satisfying

I’ve read one garden of spheres pdf you had on your shop and what are you talking about, it’s just objectively great stuff

I hope a lot of people will get the book! It’s worth it!

Kinda excited to do inktober as means to just draw what comes to mind from personal project world. Otherwise I spend too much time sketching but not really committing, or agonizing over planning a bigger illustration. I think I just need to make things
