JL comes to visit JC and finds out he is gone. He dutifully delivers his remains to is home on earth. He is sad but accepting of JC's death.

[there is a crash on the surface of the moon and when the smoke clears, we see a young man dressed in normal young professional clothes and a dog][lxc calls out to the young man, JL. JL asks about JC][LXC pulls out JC's clarity beel and hands it to JL][JL takes off from the moon, and we see LXC in hare form watching JL leave]

[back in the earth's atmosphere, we see JL riding on a giant dog, Fairy, in the sky][JL pulls out a magic arrow with the bell attached to the head][JL has a costume change as he draws the bow]

[the arrow is shot into a lake of lotus, and we see the bell sinking into the lake][JL is dressed as the god he is with a smile and tears running down his face. there is a bell hanging around his neck]

The sudden declaration shocks JC enough to disrupt the core transfer and fluster him. Once calm, JC uses the last of his strength to say goodbye with a kiss. WQL radios in to ask what happened. WWX says there is nothing to worry about.

[awkward silence][JC, batting away WWX's hand] WHAT. [JC] Shameless! You can't be serious, Wei Wuxian! How can you love someone you just met?! You really haven't changed a bit in your new lifetime! Running your mouth with no thought for the consequences...[WWX can see that the core has dissipated without transferring][astronaut LWJ and bunny LXC] ...he disrupted the core transfer...

[WWX grabs JC's hand] It's good to see you again, A-Cheng. [JC now looks like a plain ghost and not a god. This is all that is left of him. He is pouting a bit.][JC] Tch...just good? [Luckily he is intangible as a ghost and phases through WWX's helmet to give him a kiss] I love you, too, A-Xian.

[JC's ghost dissolves into dust] Thank you...and take care. [WWX stares into the distance, his hand slowly dropping back down. LWJ is walking towards him.] [Radio crackles to life] Astronaut Wen to Astronaut Wei...is everything alright? I heard a crash.

[Full page view facing WWX. His helmet is perfectly reflective so we can't see his face, but see the reflection of what he is looking at, planet Earth.] I copy, Astronaut Wen. There is nothing to worry about, we are going to be alright.

The moon palace is falling apart so LXC and LWJ know JC is extracting the golden core. JC says it's originally WWX's reward and he is returning it after giving WWX the Elixir of Immortality. WWX refuses and says he loves JC and wants another chance.

[JC voiceover] I stole this is our past like...you saved the world and were given pills of immortality as a reward. It was actually a trap. The mortal body would be torn apart by this much spiritual energy. [LXC, standing in front of moon palace] The spell is unraveling, Lord Jiang must be extracting the core! Now Master Wei just needs to take it! [JC voiceover] I must continuously drink the medicines made by the Jade Hares to continue existing and so can never leave here.

[JC voiceover] With me as a patient, the Lans were able to develop the Elixir of Life... [LWJ, LXC run through the disintegrating moon palace] [LWJ] Weo! [LXC] Don't worry, he'll be a god soon! [LXC is holding a jar of Emperor's Smile] [LWJ] Brother... [LXC] I'll be fine, this is what he was staying for, all this time. [JC voiceover] ...but it took a hundred years, and by then you were already dead. I hoped you would eventually find me in your next life so that I could give you the elixir and the core, making you a fully fledged god.

[WWX, whose illusion is also dissolving] So I'm supposed to live forever and never see you again? I would never want that! [JC, almost gone] This is what's fair and right. [WWX, reaching out towards JC's face] NO! A-Cheng...

[WWX] ...I love you...all I want is another chance together.
