Hello! I'm an artist and designer, currently obsessed with programming and game development.
I have been playing games since I was little (my love for pixel art had to start from somewhere...) and then I discovered Godot.
Update! No drawing done, but the website has gifs now and I learned how to animate little ghosts in CSS :3

I'm not dead I'm just drawning under the pile of tasks too big to complete in a single day that I made up myself in order to feel accomplished and be a functioning member of society.
Oh dear, almost 20 days since the last post, I'm really bad at this XD

I started, timidly, to fix and add things to the last game project, I'll update later on what changed and what I'm trying to do.
So #Peachtober2025 prompt list released! I was thinking just yesterday that I wanted to try again this year.
I hope no one will be mad at me if I fill this page with more digital art than #GameDev stuff next month 💜
Or maybe I could make a mock game illustration for each prompt?
This on top of having to fix some bugs and unexpected behaviours, of course.
Even while telling myself I need a bit of a break from code because otherwise I'm gonna burn out I keep thinking of ways to make the Fan Quest better.
So far I have planned out up to 9 quests, a completely new tileset map, shops, and character sprites. Good thing it was a prototype.

Ten days seem to much time for me for a jam. It makes me dream too big, and I end up with a prototype of a test that's barely holding up with if statements and good wishes.

I officially finished my second game jam. It was a great experience, but rather draining. I'm gonna need a bit of a break 😅

Short update on the #GirlyGameJam2, since I totally forgot to before.

At two days from the deadline, game is playable, too short, and coded very stupidly (I had to scrap both dialogue and quest systems at some point and start again). Still missing sounds. Now panickingly finishing the artworks. 👍
I have 10 days to make a game. Or rather, I have 10 days to try and fit the ginormous titan of a game my sleep deprived brain came up with this morning in a playable, decent looking game.

Why did I decide on 8 directional movement again?

I did! I was following a tutorial by LazyGameDev on YouTube for practice, and I will redesign it later to be more original, but after that I plan on uploading it to my page so people can play it freely :)
The #shmup is done, btw! Just need to tweak a few things about the bomb functionality. Also would like to change the graphics to make it more personal and upload it to my page, but for now it's fine.

Also I can't play shmups. 🥲

Testing a pixel art map tileset by aamatniekss on Itch.io. Using #Tiled isn't as easy as it sounded at first, a bit finnicky, but by the material I found online it seems pretty powerful.

Just messing around for now, but it could turn into the first step of a bigger thing.

It was my first time ever working on Pico-8, and I want to expand, polish, and overall make it better going forward, but for now... it's done!

A few personal takes on the whole three-days experience:
• Pico-8 is pretty cool.
• Use an external IDE next time (my poor brain...).
• I need a Pico-8 font JUST for prototyping purposes.
• Sound design is hard....
I finished the game for the jam. Is it really finished? No. Is it playable? Heck yeah.
A lesson has been learned: make many more backups than you think you'll ever need (spoiler: you'll need them).
