Finnish Lapphunds are part cat in spirit.

No drier here, just a rake comb and slicker brush, 10 minutes daily for as long as it takes 😆

Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed despite the dull autumn weather.

Oh, no, I'm so sorry. Love to you both 💔

Amazing light and colours. Hullu must be pretty heavy by now!

😂 No, I have better things to chew.

You should see how fast I can go when there's a squirrel in a tree up ahead.

I'm not sure if this snail is ever going to move, but I'll have a word through the intercom and see if I can get things going.
Anni looking bored as she stands on the back of a large carved wooden snail in the local Country Park Anni appearing to be using one of the snail's antennae as a microphone.

Which bit do you walk on? I guess rather to the west of us, if the house (and that's a lovely picture! It's the world that's wonky, not the dog) is any guide.

Exploring a section of the Icknield Way, an ancient route across England that some say may be the oldest road in Britain. It certainly predates the grey squirrels I barked at.
Anni running toward the camera with her tongue out, along a sandy track through autumn woodland.

Thank you for taking us with you all the way!

Wow. That is some journey. But taking the chance to explore along the way is what makes these trips worthwhile.

I may make a song and dance about rabbits, but I do always come back in the end.

This does look like a wonderful adventure! I have very little idea of distances in the US, but you must be travelling a fair way.

I dread to think what Hurricane Lumi would be like ...

It's just the tail-end of it, the worst was yesterday. They called it Storm Amy. I think they should name one after me some day.

All those rally classes are paying off! Those steps look pretty steep though.

It's been so dry, there wasn't much opportunity for picking up mud! Though I did paddle a bit in a rather noisome ditch.
fenlandlapphund.bsky.social
Yep, there's a definite nip in the air at night.

I'll hang out in front of the fire with the humans, if they insist.

Hang on in there, Hullu! You'll be on dry land again soon.

Paddle, sure. But I won’t let the water past my tummy. (I do know a couple of Lapphunds who swim in the sea with seals, but they’re exceptional.)
