For #InternationalArtistsDay I wanted to share a recent commission, and it felt particularly apt to display this one which is the first to include my own artist mark, which the patron of this piece had encouraged me to develop.

The blazon for the Calvert arms the flag is based on is "Quarterly first and fourth, a paly of six Or and Sable, a bend counterchanged; quarterly second and third, quarterly Argent and Gules a cross bottony counterchanged."

With the passing of Queen Elisabeth and the subsequent change many flags and emblems had to go trough in the commonwealth, the "King's Harbour Master", an office which works as a supervisor of all Canadian harbors also changed their flag.
