I still maintain our best defense against fascism is a healthy educated population. Truly fix Universal Health care and make education free at all levels. UBI is the thing to build on.

It would certainly be easier from one side, but would it be feasible from anywhere?

Deimos is in a pretty high orbit around Mars, so I'm not ruling it out without doing calculations, but my guess is no.

I reckon anyone could throw one into orbit. Getting it all the way out of the gravity well would take a bit of strength and skill.

Deimos, the smaller of Mars's moons, is slightly bigger than Cardiff, and has an average escape velocity of around 5.7m/s: a little over 20km/h.

This is low enough that an athlete could jump off into space if they got a running start - but they couldn't, because the gravity's too low for good grip.
