imagine if jasper had stayed at UAE, they'd be winning pure and classic group sprints as well. 😭sure, he wouldn't have had mathieu and the belgian chat GPT riders as leadout so his wins would be slightly lower but he'd still be a top 3 sprinter just like now

this was always going to happen with two riders of two opposing french teams in the final. they'd rather see each other lose than work even an inch and it possibly ending up in a W for the other guy

they already explained that they did try to make it difficult: they went full power (for them) and it just looked like pog was on a training ride so when they had nothing left in the tank they had to stop for a while

those are your options when pogacar starts. the only counter to this are other aliens: mathieu during the onedays and vingegaard during GT's/stageraces. (and remco in ITT but doesn't really apply here)

- if you isolate tadej from his teammates, he will just go on a long solo&win
- if you attack tadej he will counter you and win with a solo
- if you 'help' his team control the break, he'll win with a 30-40km solo
- if you don't help his team control the break, he'll win with a slightly longer solo
