imperial "kinder-blocks," as mentioned by Dedra Meero in andor s2, were actually first introduced in the book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire!

they're described as "both housing and educational compounds where the Empire could raise a new generation of loyalists."

forgot to post sooner, but our panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan was an absolute success!! the room was PACKED wall-to-wall.
