We may be using bombs to blow up evil robots and taking chunks of the environment out in the process, but we are responsible and put cones out to make sure no one trips and hurts themselves on the heavy materials that are lying around 🙏 #gamedev #indiegame #godot

That was my thinking too - in the stages, the lights and global illumination will brighten things up a lot more 🙂
Thank you! You're not wrong - for some reason (still not sure why), it looks more saturated when viewing it stand alone like this. Placed in levels though it looks notably more transparent, so looks a lot more fitting in game play 🙂

Development has been at a stand still for the last 2 weeks almost as I've had a real life bug to fix 🤒 😭 Trying hard to get back to pushing the game closer to the finish line and post interesting tidbits 👊
Found a bug in Godot's GridMap last week (issue raised). In the mean time though, if anyone else is having an unexpected editor crash when bulk moving items on the GridMap, give this a read and try the work around included 🙂 blog.fiveninegames.io/evading-grid... #godot #gamedev

This may be a blog post essentially just praising Kenney, but it's deserved 😅 The quality of the assets they put out freely available for people to use to learn, prototype with or to use directly in commercial products is unmatched (IMO). Their value to the dev community isn't quantifiable 💚

Maybe of interest to new game devs who are struggling because things feel like they don't look like the final product should do early on. I battled with this a lot early on, and kept starting over; it can be demotivating, but as you can see here, everything starts off looking a bit weird #gamedev
