I have been documenting the disappearance of the American shopping mall since 2016. I do NOT specialize in "dead malls"; I am more interested in still open and forgotten. Many have closed since.

I stalked this painting for at least a year, via eBay, Marketplace, and a few vintage vendors I know. This one came up on Marketplace near Dayton. It was too big for the car, so we had to strap it to the roof.

This was owned by one nice old lady, who was so happy it was going home with me.

I need to stop looking at cat paintings on Marketplace, because I am now the proud owner of Cashmere, the Resting Cat. At 4”x5”, this is the largest, most ridiculous thing that I own.

I originally spotted it in the movie An Evening With Beverly Luff Lin, and have been looking ever since.

Dave Hill Doesn’t Live Here Anymore is sweet and hilarious. His other book, Tasteful Nudes, is also great, I can send you a copy of that one if you’d like!

I also loved World Within a Song by Jeff Tweedy, but I went with the audiobook because I love his voice.

Books are like tv shows for me: if I’m not feeling it after the first three chapters, I’m very likely to just put it down and not finish it. Other books, I’ve read and re-read. I also almost always read nonfiction, but I really need to change that up.
