It's not just frustrating, it's genuinely hurtful. Like I said, stress headache. Already my physical pain and mental state are worse. It is going to worsen my fatigue once I go to complete it as well. My lawyer cannot complete it for me, nor can my doctor. It's a spiked hurdle for me specifically.

Every step of this process exists to prevent disabled people from actually getting benefits, but this is probably one of the most transparent once you've made it far enough to be told that the judges don't trust what you or the loved ones in your unpaid support network tell them.

It's extra frustrating the second time around because I've already been to an administrative law judge hearing for my previous application where it was made clear to me that my testimony as to my own condition is not considered valid evidence.

I have to complete a seven page function report for my SSI/SSDI application again. Just thinking about it legitimately gives me a headache. Last time I did one of these I had to dictate my answers to a friend because I was in too much pain to complete it. This time I'm too tired to think of answers.

The sitting and repetitive motion demands of either would severely limit how much I could do. I already struggle with gaming or drawing just for myself

If my work is too light my pain flares up. If it's too strenuous my fatigue flares up. I get stubborn repetitive motion injuries regardless of how heavy or light the work is. What even are my options at this point? YouTuber? Pet sitter?

People at my doctor's and disability lawyer's offices keep telling me I need to get a different job but I have no idea what work would actually be okay for me to do with my fibromyalgia and the only time vocational rehab returned my calls was in a ten minute window when I didn't have my phone on me.

Perhaps also if we didn't have a system of global economics that encourages food producers to sell food with lead or cesium in it

Buying groceries in this country is like playing Russian roulette. Every time I open another recall notice and see that it doesn't contain anything I happen to buy I hear the click of an empty chamber

WWI: U.S. needs workers to replace its soldiers and can't recruit outside the Western Hemisphere. Actively recruits Mexicans.
Great Depression: We can't have these filthy foreigners living on our welfare! Deport them!
WWII: Haha hey can you all come back? We promise to treat you better this time! 🤞🏻

It's a classic cycle. Government and corporations turn to minorities, women, and foreigners for cheap labor during times of war or to avoid paying out to more privileged/unionized citizens, and then they scapegoat their marginalized laborers for the economic struggles of the rest of the citizenry.

I've been reading a lucky find at the library – Hoosier Latinos: A Century of Struggle, Service, and Success. I'm up through the WWII era and so far things follow a predictable pattern: U.S. recruits and exploits immigrant labor during wartime and then expels them during the Great Depression.
A photo of the cover of a paperback book titled Hoosier Latinos: A Century of Struggle, Service, and Success by Nicole Martinez-LeGrand and Daniel Gonzales, with forward by Sujey Vega. The cover depicts a black and white photo of a group of Latinos in and surrounding a parade float with a U.S. flag hanging off the side.

I've thought about contacting the benefits office again on the chance that I might get someone who understands what I'm asking, but the problem is that even if I do get an answer from them I couldn't actually trust it. There's no accountability for them sharing wrong or incomplete information.

I got directed via the bar association to a law firm that deals in Medicaid law and left them a voicemail. Maybe they can shine some light on this.

Now that the Trump administration is mocking and harassing Hakeem Jeffries with a genAI video of him in a sombrero and mustache with mariachi music, can white people please finally recognize that this gag has always been fucking racist and stop doing it?

When I try to ask the benefits office employees about this they act like they don't know what I'm talking about and redirect me to their website which has none of the information I'm looking for. I just got off the phone with my lawyer's office and they said they don't have answers either.

The absolute state of the new federal Medicaid and Indiana HIP work requirements is that neither disability lawyers nor the employees at the benefits offices know who qualifies as disabled for the purposes of not needing to work 80 hours/month to keep their health insurance.

Out of curiosity how do you get consent from a drawing. Like maybe you should worry less about whether or not a cartoon has rights and more about whether real life trans and Palestinian people do
