There is so much going on these days, but one thing this week really does deserve your attention. On Wednesday, SCOTUS will hear oral arguments in a case that could overturn the VRA's protections against racial gerrymanders. Nothing is certain ahead of time.

Yep. Trauma has a beginning and end. People that are traumatized that can find that end or resolution, usually can store that away. It’s a memory but they can continue w life.
Those that haven’t found the ending to their trauma, experience that very thing you rightly explained.

If free to act on our fight or flight response once the event that causes it is over then the Fight or Flight system shuts down we recover.
We are not recovering in this systematic destruction of our Country.
We are experiencing a sense of helplessness.

Traumatic Stress-Fight or flight response releases stress hormones and we experience the effects throughout our bodies. If we are trapped or suppressed for whatever means this response is but in a never ending cycle with sudden bursts of stress hormones released at the slightest provocation
