f you’d like to help, donations of nonperishable food and essential items are welcome at the SEA Conference Center lobby on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Last week, we coordinated a resource fair to connect employees with a variety of helpful services. Yesterday, @FoodLifeline brought three trucks of groceries for a food distribution event, and we’ve opened a food pantry for federal workers here at SEA.
These dedicated workers are critical to keeping SEA operating safely and smoothly every day, and we’re deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment.
The ongoing federal government shutdown means many essential federal workers — including TSA officers, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, and air traffic controllers — have been working without pay since Oct.1.
Traffic advisory: There is a short overnight closure for the upper Departures Drive from midnight to 4 a.m. All traffic will be routed to the lower Arrivals Drive. Travelers only have to go up one level to ticketing and the security checkpoints.
Travelers: please be patient with our federal partners during your upcoming trips through the airport and plan to arrive the recommended 2 hours for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights.
A heartfelt "thank you" to all the TSA, CBP, and FAA workers at SEA who are continuing to work through the government shutdown. As of today, security checkpoint wait times are still under our goal of less than 20 minutes. Be aware things can change.
Remembering loved ones and celebrating life. SEA travelers marked Día de los Muertos with butterfly notes, live music, and art — thanks to Consulate of Mexico in Seattle and Highline Heritage Museum for being part of it.
We’re excited to welcome our first two new year-round domestic nonstop routes since 2022, Arcata-Eureka, CA and Tulsa! Our region continues to be a popular destination across the country and around the world, and SEA is here to welcome all. news.alaskaair.com/destinations...

Airports and wildlife can safely share the skies with a little teamwork. Recently, SEA’s wildlife biologist relocated several red-tailed hawks as part of the Raptor Strike Avoidance Program. Each bird is carefully captured, hooded, and shuttled to its new home in Skagit Co.
