An old Greek proverb says that a society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they may never sit. This cone has completed its work. We now wait a lifetime to see the tree mature
Every year we have a dusting or two in March. It’s either Sheilagh’s Brush or March going out like a lion. There is however a calm and contemplative mood that takes over when it snows. For a time, everything is quiet. Washed in a dull white that seems to envelope you in your surroundings.
