#OTD 2002 – Kent's Shannon Higgins-Cirovski becomes 3rd woman and, at 34, youngest player ever inducted into National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, N.Y. Higgins-Cirovski starred at North Carolina, winning 4 NCAA titles, and for USWNT, winning 1991 World Cup in her final match.

Most improved player over past week: JP. His touch was mostly back, and he calmed and organized with class. Alex filled in admirably at CB and DMF. Next Man/Men Up came thru once again.

Probably stating the obvious, but when Sounders whiffed on those 4 clean chances in opening 20 minutes, fans knew it would come down to whether our green kids could withstand the late pressure. They did. Just. And I know a few folks who left before VAR intervened and 3 pts were restored.

Having lived here my whole life there's always been that sense that, as fans, we can exert influence on sporting events. Be it Mariners, Sounders, Hawks, UW, etc. Through noise, yes, but it's overwhelmingly positive vibes. So happy for our community to have these rallying points.
