The Oberth class hasn't been forgotten, even in the 32nd century, as seen in the #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy trailer! :-) The original tough little ship? :-)

...as part of Daystrom Station in the 25th century (#StarTrekPicard's "Bounty"➡️) and in the 32nd century in the new #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy trailer ⬇️! :-) 2/2

The MIDAS array model (created in 1999) must now be one of the longest serving CG models on #StarTrek. It was seen in the 22nd century as Yosemite 3 (#StarTrekENT's "Zero Hour"↖️), as the MIDAS array in the 24th century (#StarTrekVOY's "Pathfinder"↗️)... 🧵 1/2

Tilly!! Finally seen in the latest #StarTrekStarfleet Academy trailer! 🤩

One of the members of the Federation Archaeological Council in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"⬅️ is wearing Premier Bhavani's Barzan's necklace from the season 3 episode "The Price"➡️. "Qpid" is filled with background characters rewearing old costumes from seasons 1-3... :-)

Kirk bites off a piece of a green food cube in #StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap" and you can see that it is yellow inside. Based on the sound he makes when chewing on it, I would say it is a piece of apple (maybe very unripe honedew melon) to which green food color was applied.

The exact same spot on the Paramount New York Streets set in the season 7 #MacGyver episode "Good Knight MacGyver I"⬆️, where MacGyver is hit on the head by a flower pot, is where Troi is hit by a brick wall in Keystone City in the #StarTrekTNG's season 7 episode "Emergence"⬇️.😅

Picard's big speech PADD in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" (featuring multicolored text, showing all of the revisions to his speech) is of the same type as other large PADDs ("Peak Performance"↙️, "HolloW Pursuits"↘️) seen in earlier episodes but with different brown tape areas.

Captain Kirk is the first person that we actually see eating the colourful food cubes, on the Enterprise bridge in #StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap". He seems to prefer the blue and green ones and the sound he makes when chewing on them (at 27:30 and 28:13) suggests that they are painted pieces of apple.

After recently rewatching the first (aired) episode of #StarTrekTOS ("The Man Trap"⬇️) and the first episode of #StarTrekTNG ("Encounter at Farpoint"⬆️), I come to the following conclusion: #StarTrek seems to be all about that ass! ;-)

Hikaru Sulu is the first person to ever eat the colourful food cubes, namely in #StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap". Well, in fact, he is not the first person to eat them because we never see him actually put the cubes into his mouth. That honor goes to somebody else, more about that tomorrow. 😅

Have you ever noticed the round rug with the Federation emblem in Picard's quarters ("Where Silence Has Lease"↙️, "Suddenly Human"↘️)?. It's still present in "Qpid"↗️ but it was originally created for Starfleet Headquarters in "Conspiracy"↖️. I want one of those please! :-)

#StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap" is the first episode in which we see the colourful food cubes which appear in many later episodes. Notice how the bowl of cubes ⬆️ (on a small plate) is suddenly a large plate of cubes in the close-up ⬇️. All the blue cubes are also suddenly gone in the close-up... ;-)

In season 4, we get a good look at the glass sailing ship in the USS Enterprise-D ready room in both "Night Terrors"➡️ and "Qpid". We'll see the ship in its entirety better in season 5 and we'll eventually get there! :-)

The original #StarTrek pilot, "The Cage"⬅️ features sugar cubes that Pike uses to feed Tango, while the first episode of #StarTrekTOS ever shown, "The Man Trap"➡️ features salt tablets that Dr. Crater uses to feed the salt vampire/Nancy. I just like such juxtapositions.

Many outfits worn by the members of the Federation Archaeology Council in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" are re-used costumes from earlier (alien) guest stars. The costume worn by the Vulcan delegate ⬅️ was originally created for (human) Ki Mendrossen, seen in "Sarek"➡️ .

Many many TOS episodes still to cover. 👌👌

Before I start covering colourful food cubes in #StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap" tomorrow, we need to talk about this type of alien/futuristic/(simply unknown to me) celery, also debuting in the episode. Is this a real vegetable or was this created for the episode? Why does Rand chew on Sulu's celery?

On set: to the door on the right side of the small turbolift niche opposite the straight short corridor that leads to the transporter room. On the Enterprise-D: to the chief engineer's office.

Over the course of #StarTrekTNG, Captain Picard wore five different versions of the dress uniform. Also version 4 debuted earlier in season 4 in "Data's Day", we get a much better full body shot in "Qpid", as can be seen here. :-)

#StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" is one of the few episodes in which the camera comes so close to Picard's Enterprise-D ready room painting that the blue signatures of Rick Sternbach and Andy Probert are (barely) visible on screen.
