Ghost of Tsushima was the first breakthrough title Sony's had in Japan in ages, selling over a million units with around half of those sales being digital.
Yotei sold out, good digital sales are expected, but even with digital I'd expect launch of Tsushima to be bigger.

October is one the biggets months for new releases, we have Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 and Ghost of Youtei (2nd) Pokémon Legends ZA (16th) and Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake (30th)
'm pretty sure its the biggest launch for a non Resident Evil horror game in Japan in a looooooooong time, the closest launch I can think of would be the first Evil Within, and that was 2014.
Let's say launch sales are around 100k, that makes it the series' third best selling game already, behind the first game (293k) and the original Silent Hill 2 (130k), no other Silent Hill game has sold more than 100k in Japan.
