Effective resistance includes vetting and verifying information before posting to tens of thousands of people.

Promoting misinformation and disinformation (intentionally or not) only helps the GOP and MAGA. Misinformation/disinformation needs to be aggressively identified and called out.

Multiple people told her it was false over the past 2 days. She just pulled it now.

This video is "real" in that it is not AI, but it is 100% fake as far as the text and what @pawbaby2.bsky.social is claiming. The police are speaking to a civilian in the car.

THEY ARE NOT TALKING TO ICE OR ANY OTHER FEDERAL AGENT.

The TX guard members cannot be deployed (so they are effectively stuck on base) AND they aren't getting paid because MAGA GOP shut down the government. Oh and they can't just go home because Trump Federalized them. 😁

They should have refused those illegal orders...

#BREAKING The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals PARTIALLY grants the stay sought by the Trump Administration.

The stay is GRANTED as to federalization of the National Guard.

But it is DENIED as to deployment.

So deployment still BLOCKED, but troops "do not need to return to their home states."

Your take is not wrong @hyperlexic.bsky.social. Solar + battery cost ($104/MWh) is already cheaper than traditional generation cost. It's also 22% less than it was just a year ago and prices are expected to continue to fall.

Posting clearly fake videos (this is AI generated, the "reporter" has three arms, the voices are stilted) helps no one except clout chasers.

Everyone should be documenting DHS/ICE breaking the law. False allegations just gives them a defense because they'll claim all the real stuff is fabricated.

The actual US listing has been 404ing with the dogs since before it came out. I learned preorders had gone live ~2 days after announce and when I tried to find a copy Amazon was already 404ing. Everyone else was sold out but they at least still had listings.

And once again, it sounds like DHS lied. The "claim" was that the WGN employee threw things at the agents. Witnesses on scene all said the WGN employee was just shooting video.

No charges have been filed.

Sounds like DHS just wanted to intimidate the press.

“I didn’t get his name, although I asked for his name,” Thomas said. “He didn’t speak very good English. They claimed that the WGN employee was obstructing justice, even though she was, like all of us, just standing there, taking video.”

According to a statement from the Department of Homeland Security, the WGN employee, who is also a U.S. citizen, allegedly threw objects at a Border Patrol car. She was placed under arrest for assault on a federal law enforcement officer.

WGN-TV is still in the process of searching for and obtaining video showing the moment leading up to the employee’s detainment. WGN-TV also learned that the Border Patrol released the employee from federal custody as of 3 p.m. Friday.

A spokesman for the US Attorney in Chicago confirmed no charges have been filed in the WGN employee’s case as of 6 p.m. Friday.

DHS seems to think any reporter who is covering their actions is "obstructing justice".

Pretty sure Judge Ellis isn't going to like this video. Given that the WGN employee's detainment was captured on multiple videos (and the DHS agents did not have any identifying information) this is pretty blatant contempt of court.
