Ratchet & Clank's franchise has been dormant since Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was released in 2021, but that didn't stop some fans from searching for a game that few remembered. Ratchet & Clank: Clone Home was announced was announced in the mid-2000s as the follow-up to the mobile title Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile. Although Clone Home was canceled and never officially released, the game has finally been found and a copy has been shared online. The Golden Bolt's YouTube channel (via Engadget) has posted a video detailing the years-long search for Ratchet & Clank: Clone Home. As noted in the video below, several members of the gaming community took part in the search, but college students "Emily" and "Super Gamer Omega Clank" were credited for finding a Sony Ericsson W880i that had a working copy of Clone Home. Breaking the phone's encryption was the most difficult step, but their efforts paid off. The title of the game refers to a pair of digital clones of Ratchet and Clank who team up with their counterparts in the real world to foil the plans of Vox, the returning nemesis from Going Mobile. One of the nice perks of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes EA Play) are 10-hour trials for new releases from EA. It's a good way to try a game before dropping money on buying it. But the free trials are not available for every EA game, including the just-launched Battlefield 6. The game launched today, October 10, and has no free trial, a spokesperson for EA confirmed to GameSpot. This is somewhat unusual, as many EA games do offer 10-hour free trials. The last entry in the series, Battlefield 2042, had a free 10-hour trial for Game Pass and EA Play members, too. But EA does not guarantee a free 10-hour trial for all games with EA Play. The fine print states that only "select" games get these trials. Earlier this year, Discord began testing a new age-verification process in the United Kingdom that required users to scan their government-issued ID. That has come back to haunt both Discord and the users who shared that info, as a new report suggests that millions of people may have had their ID and other info exposed during a recent data hack. According to a statement on Discord's official site, the government-issued ID of 70,000 users may have been exposed when a third-party service provider, 5CA, was hacked. Discord had contracted 5CA to handle age-verification duties. Discord went on to state that none of its messages were breached beyond exchanges with customer support or trust and safety agents. As the size of video games continues to expand thanks to greater resolution textures, uncompressed audio, and more detailed 3D models, space on hard drives is more of a premium than ever. Some especially large titles have begun to adopt the approach of letting players pick and choose what is installed to help save on that coveted storage, and Battlefield 6 is no different. By default, on Steam, when you click “install,” all the components will be installed, but on console, you will be able to pick and choose what parts you want from the single-player campaign, multiplayer, and the high-res textures for both. However, once you install them, removing the various parts is hidden away a few menus deep, and unless you know the option is available, it isn’t immediately clear that you can, outside of the fact that once you beat the campaign, Battlefield 6 lets you know you can uninstall the campaign, accompanied by a big button. Hearthstone's next expansion is coming on November 4, and it's about time. The Across the Timeways expansion introduces multiple new mechanics revolving around celebrating past and present Warcraft heroes by pulling them into the game. The most powerful of these minions are Fabled heroes, recognizable greats that are so powerful they automatically slot in extra Legendary cards. GameSpot has the exclusive reveal for Lady Azshara, the Fabled Druid legendary card that also grants you two powerful locations--and then makes one of them even stronger. Lady Azshara is a 5-Mana 5/5 minion with a Choose One effect to empower one of two locations: Zin-Azshari or the Well of Eternity. Both are put into in your deck when you include Azshara herself, but she can only empower one, and when she does, the other is destroyed. Zin-Ashari is a location that summons a copy of a friendly minion, which can be a powerful effect by itself. But if you empower it with Lady Azshara, the minions you copy will have their stats doubled. Similarly, the Well of Eternity fills your hand with random temporary spells, but if empowered each of them will cast twice. The trade-off for using Lady Azshara to empower your chosen location will destroy the other. At the end of 2022, an unknown number of online leagues in Madden 23 were deleted overnight due to what EA called a "data-storage issue that resulted in Franchise files being corrupted." Some players who were affected eventually got their leagues back, while others never did. The total number of affected players or leagues was never revealed, but it wasn't an especially rare event, as the game's subreddit, EA Forums, and various Discord servers were flooded with players decrying their leagues' disappearances. Now, in Madden 26, something similar seems to be happening. It hasn't occurred in one fell swoop, and a different--possibly more hopeful--error message is greeting affected players, but it's unclear why it's happening or if affected leagues can be salvaged. Within the game's first 30 minutes of public availability, it exceeded 500,000 concurrent users, according to Steam's own data. In Battlefield lore, a Rendezook is a legendary maneuver that dates back to Battlefield 3. It's become so ubiquitous with the series that DICE included a Rendezook in the Battlefield 2042 announcement trailer. The Rendezook is not only back in Battlefield 6,: Players can can earn a reward if they pull it off. As reported by Eurogamer, a Rendezook dog tag cosmetic is now given to players who successfully jump out of their jet, use a well-placed shot from a bazooka to take out an enemy jet, and then safely return to the jet. It would be an impossible stunt to pull off in real life, but a player who goes by Stun_Gravy discovered it was possible in Battlefield 3 and shared a video to prove it. Nintendo has added three new SNES games for Switch Online members, with one particular title releasing outside Japan for the first time ever. Mario & Wario is a puzzle-platform title from 1993 that was actually developed by Game Freak--before the studio developed Pokemon. Of note, the game reportedly has always featured English text, even though it didn't see the light of day in the US for over three decades. Mario & Wario does require mouse controls, according to Nintendo's video (seen below) posted on YouTube. Wario has thrown a bucket on Mario's head, so it's up to players, controlling a forest fairy, to guide the plumber to safety across 100 levels. On Switch 2, people can utilize the Joy-Con 2 on its side instead of a traditional mouse plugged in via USB like on Switch. The other two games now available as part of Nintendo Switch Online are Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind and Fatal Fury Special. The former can get you acquainted with the wisecracking bobcat before Bubsy 4D arrives, while the latter is a fighting game that lets players take control of Axel Hawk, for instance, who was a CPU boss in the original Fatal Fury 2 release.Continue Reading at GameSpot
