.. and sincerely don't want to be "overly friendly record/comic shop regular guy". I believe in convivial mostly silently browsing any conversation should be spontaneous and definitely not preachy or evangelical

Unexpectedly become an elder in the nerd community. In the lp shop pointed 2 young scamps to the Manc section for some Oasis vinyl. In the comic shop a young lass asked my opinion on Saga(I managed to keep it brief) both went away with happy customers. I can confirm I'm not usually this helpful...

Yeah good stuff, he doesn't mention the MOST annoying one though, the posh bloke with blond curly hair (who now has a TV series FFS) who's gatekeepery and all chummy with chefs. The World's food and we still have posh boys patrolling if.

I'd like to say that this isn't a very Barnsley story but the details give it away: the use of "hankering" , the comedy local name "Rimmington" , the fact that the Muppet eats 3kg of cow heel and then fancies a carvery.

Watching The Producers on BBC2. One of the posters in Max Bialystock's office is for the 1965 Broadway production of Entertaining Mr Sloane and you can see the names of Sheila Hancock and Dudley Sutton on it.

We saw John Hegley at the weekend and he was telling tales of his french father who would have been a similar age , he was a painter in the thirties (John showed pictures of his work)

I tried it again in Madrid in a hotter spicier sauce and it was good but like Lucy I'm sure still not a fan of the texture even so. It's like the tendon highly prized in Asian soups something I can't quite get onboard with .
