Saw a preview of "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" and it's superb. Writer-director Scott Cooper's lovingly crafted, lyrical, deeply emotional musical-drama has an amazing lead turn by Jeremy Allen White as Bruce. If you're a @brucespringsteen.net fan (like me), don't miss it. Opens Friday!
An outstanding performance by #EthanHawke as legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart anchors this terrific 1940s-set dramedy directed by the great Richard Linklater. Don't miss "Blue Moon." Margaret Qualley, Bobby Canavale and Andrew Scott lend superb support. #oscars2026
Great to rally with my fellow @wgawest.bsky.social writers today in Studio City, CA! #MakeAmericaAmericaAgain
Really enjoying "Boots" on @netflix.com based on the memoir "The Pink Marine" by Greg Cope White. Miles Heizer and the cast are excellent and the show strikes an effective tone between comedy and drama. Check it out! #newseries #streamingseries #marines
No words, except we have lost another one of the greats. RIP Diane Keaton. 😒
Great screening of the fine new documentary "Ai Weiwei's Turandot" last night at @laemmle.com Monica Film Center, Santa Monica. Fun Q&A after w/producer Christine La Monte & exec producer Marcie Polier. Was an honor to be asked to moderate. A beautiful, super timely doc, at the Monica thru 10/2.

Ah, Fall! My favorite time of the year and esp. on the East Coast where I grew up and went to college. It's its own kind of character in my Boston U.-set coming-of-age novel PLEASE COME TO BOSTON. So if you want all the Fall feels, check it out: amzn.to/4b2dL8L #BookSky πŸ’™πŸ“š @bostonu.bsky.social

If you liked "Slow Horses," you should enjoy "Dept. Q" now on @netflix.com. Matthew Goode and his supporting cast are excellent in this Scottish-set police thriller. Check it out!
Found this great pic of Boston U. in 1975, the year "Please Come to Boston" is set. If you haven't caught yet THE PITT on HBO/Max, buckle up & check it out. It's a ten, all around. Amazing writing, acting, (Noah Wyle is superb as is the entire cast), editing and directing. A riveting 15-episode rollercoaster. Gory at times (it's set in an ER after all), but don't let it stop you!
Remember "Bridget Loves Bernie" and "Welcome Back Kotter?" Was lots of fun digging into the #TV archives to compare eight current #Emmy-nominated series with their "spiritual predecessors." Check out my article in the latest @latimes.com Envelope! lat.ms/3HkNJF3
