If it means anything else, when I "upgraded" my system, I just bought another Apollo Twin, but with a Quad core processor instead of a Duo core.

Was looking for around $450 USD. Depending on budget, I can haggle, or even if under contract, do multiple payments!

I will say that the 4th gen finally had head room that wasn't an immediate disappointment.

But with my remote projects, basically any submission that stated having a Scarlett that wasn't Gen 4, I automatically discarded because it was THAT difficult to deal with quality wise.

When I had the "Standardize Your VO" packet up, I pretty much said that the unit is "fine" for indie projects or just starting out.

But in no way would I ever allow it in any professional projects I may be heading up.

I don't hate them, but it's definitely the first thing I'd upgrade away from.

The Focusrite Scarlett line is what I call "Baby's First VO Setup."

Affordable, does a job, but the quality and fidelity are bottom tier.

Even the lower end Universal Audio interfaces like the VOLTS or 76 versions, have better dynamic range, gain, headroom, and overall fidelity quality.
