For context (a thread!): I left media in 2022 after more than 18 years in freelance/staff newsroom roles, working primarily as a critic, feature writer, business analyst, editor, and reporter. Heaviest focus areas included games, consumer tech, film/TV, geek culture, and web culture.

Big fan. We were just at Home Depot today gawking at the 10+ foot high skeletons, reapers, dragons, you name it and plotting out how to take over my mother in law's Halloween decor because we live off a state route on a wooded plot of land and get ZERO trick or treaters.
