Knuckles' history in Sonic Boom is kind of fascinating.
His design was mocked when the game was announced, became a key part of speedrunning the game and had some of the most significant jokes jokes in the tv series that would become memes later on

I do find it funny how it's listed in his history section on wikipedia. His videos and opinions on Last of Us part 2 and FF7 remake were more controversial/noteworthy but sure mention the sonic stuff
