Congrats, Matthew! Great poem.
Once in a while, if you are lucky, you’ll encounter a poem that will take you to an enchanted place where words can do anything and for a brief time the outside world is held in suspension. Here is the poem (and be sure to listen to the recording). www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazi...

My poem “Telescope” (a limerick) was just published in the latest issue of NewMyths. Also included from their archives is my poem “The Yellow Snake,” inspired by the snake in The Little Prince. You can read both of them here:

I think this poem from my collection "Shopping Cart Dreams" (Kelsay Books) speaks to what's happening to this country right now where democracy once bloomed.

I sometimes catch myself wondering if anyone will ever read my poems when I am gone. Ah, vanity! Here is my reply, just published in Merion West.

Imagine - what a magic word. A while back, I wrote short stories for children, some published in Highlights for Children and other magazines. My little book Dragon Daily News: Stories of Imagination for Children of All Ages is available on Amazon (www.amazon.com/Dragon-Daily...)
Stay safe and sane!
Simply beautiful - thanks for sharing!
My poem was published in Panoply Literary Magazine, their 10th year and unfortunately their last, having just announced their suspension of publication. What many people don't realize is how much a labor of love publishing a journal is. I wish the editors well and thank them for including my poem.
Wow! You had me from the git-go with “Speak like the moon. So refreshing to read a profound poem like this that takes you to new places. Thanks for sharing!
I wrote this little book a few years back. Here's the opening lines of one story:
“We have no choice,” her husband told Alice. “When the time comes, someone has to do it for both of us. Don’t worry—I’ll be quick.”

Congrats Pedro! What an honor!
Actually, it WAS the poem I was looking for at this poisonous moment in history when I desperately needed a humorous antidote. Thanks for sharing, Gerhard!
I am honored that my poem "Imaginary Garden" (part of my collection "Death at the Mall") was included in "The Growers," the Best of New Myths Anthology 5. It's also the opening poem! I am honored to be included with so many talented writers, including the late great Bruce Boston.

The final stanza from my poem "Seven Lessons," inspired by the amazing little book "Seven Brief Lessons on Physics" by Carlo Rovelli. It was published in my second collection "The Museum of Unwearable Shoes."
