Stick broke, a forward came to give him theirs.. he waived him off « nah I’m good ».. and then looked almost as comfortable as if he had a stick for 2 mins.

I mean c’mon.. he’s a freak.

Can't keep up with the pace, take tons of penalties, frustration ensues... feel like quite a few teams will be similarly pissed playing the Habs this year. :)

Easy fix.. throw people out, plus 5min "major instigator", when they jump guys after clean hits. If the initial hit was penalty, only the 2min "minor instigator", and the guy can stay in the game.

Really nice play.. Habs overall skating like crazy, feel exhausting to play against.
One mistake or breakdown and they’re off.

Hopefully the team can take advantage of the easy yet condensed schedule in these first weeks… keep the pressure off while tries to work his way back.

If there's one thing that may be weighing on Lane, it's that awkward place where you're no longer a kid, but the over-involved & opiniated dad won't let go or let you lead.

"fine he'll play for CAN then" vs US, now "heated negotiations" vs Habs.. Lane has to deal with that negative energy.

The window was in DET, after a loss & a back2back. Namely was curious to see if there was some Reinbacher-esque load management plan with Dach's return.. seems not.

Next week starting with SEA they'll play 6 gms in 9 days.. gotta think the subs get to break the ice somewhere in there.

Personally I tune out when they start analyzing where & when people walked ;)

After the "blow up", they could have decided to just reconvene after the season. My only takeaway from them still talking, is that both sides MAY still be open to restarting negotiating in-season.
